WordBench プロジェクト
先日の WordCamp Tokyo 2009 で WordPress ユーザーのための地域コミュニティ WordBench についての発表をおこないました(プレゼン資料)。 WordBench というのは、当初、僕が福岡に戻ることになったので福岡でも WordPress の話ができる場が欲しいというそれだけの理由で立ち上げたサイトだったのですが、どうせなら他の地域のひとも使えるようにしようと WordPress MU で構築して、昨年の WordCamp Tokyo 2008 の懇親会でぽろりと公開したものです。 最近になるまで、メンバー間でコミュニケーションをとる手段がほとんどなく(Google Group でかわりにやってました)、開店休業みたいな雰囲気だったのですが、BuddyPress を導入するなどリニューアルをおこなったことでだいぶコミュニティらしくなってきました。現在は 17 の地域グループがあり、ユーザー数は 100 名になろうかというところです。 今のところ日本語のみのサポートになっていますが(米国在住のひとのグループはあるんです)、いずれは多言語化してワールドワイドに展開してみたいものだと無謀なことを企んでいます。 Camp が遠い?
